My approach to medicine is build on the knowledge that the body is a great natural healer, but it needs a strong foundation of wellness and sometimes a little help.

Full Picture of Your Health

I practice medicine a little differently than most big city primary care doctors. To start, my initial consultations are an unrushed, highly attentive hour, because that’s what is needed so that I can get to know you and your health goals.

Rather than checking vitals and calling it a day, I’ll work closely with you to get a full picture of your health. Rather than treating symptoms, we’ll look for root causes.

Personalized Health and Wellness Plan

From there, we’ll develop a personalized wellness plan designed to meet your health goals. I’ll also help you make sense of the latest health innovations and trends (e.g. regererative therapies, medical cannabis, gluten-free diets) and how they might apply to you.

I draw from a big toolkit, including:

Medical Interventions

  • prescriptions

  • labs

  • imaging

  • injections

Natural Treatments

  • herbs

  • acupuncture

  • nutrition

  • mind/body medicine

  • lifestyle modifications

Much like team physicians do with elite athletes, I schedule periodic check-ins so that we can evaluate progress, make adjustments to the plan and perform in-office treatments such as acupuncture to help things along as necessary.

I love practicing Integrative family medicine and treating whatever arises for my patients over time. However, I have special expertise in the following areas:

  • Chronic Pain: (e.g. lower back pain, joint pain and arthritis): I’ll work to help you feel better without opiates

  • Regenerative Medicine: I’ll help you optimize your vitality and health as you age

  • Insomnia: I’ll help you sleep better

  • Digestive Health: I’ll help you make lifestyle changes to control or reverse chronic digestive and autoimmune disorders

In addition to in-person consultations in my San Francisco clinic, I also offer telemedicine consultations to patients outside the Bay Area.

I am a private pay physician, which means that payment is due at the time your visit. I accept Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, Debit Cards, Visa, Amex, Mastercard, personal check and cash.

Many insurance companies reimburse up to 80% of the cost. Check with your insurance provider to inquire about your coverage of out-of-network providers.

Following each visit, you will receive a statement of the services provided and forms to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Small Practice

My practice is small by choice, but I’m accepting a handful of new patients. If you’re looking for a lifelong partner in health and wellness, I’d be honored to meet with you.
